Caroline is a painter and printmaker whose practice explores place, memory, and transformation through experimental, relief-based techniques. Her work functions as a visual diary – documenting resilience, curiosity, experimentation and creative freedom.
About Caroline’s work
For Caroline, inspiration comes from local landscapes, architecture, derelict buildings, and found objects, using colour, texture, and sustainable materials to evoke emotional and environmental connections.
Influenced by a background in Zoology and Architectural Technology, Caroline’s work often balances organic forms with structural elements.
In 2024, Caroline completed artist residencies in Tuscany and Milan, creating a body of work inspired by historic villages and narratives of change.
Working with non-toxic printmaking processes and natural materials such as feathers and porcupine quills, she explored ancient modes of storytelling and renewal.
Alongside her studio practice, Caroline tutors printmaking at the Waikato Society of Arts, where she mentors artists in experimental approaches.

Caroline will be presenting an exhibition with a group of artists with a diverse mix of practices, including painting, printmaking, ceramics, plant-based and floral creativity, stitched linen works, pastel, and more.
